I got my ears pierced in April, the last day of our family vacation. As you can see, I got little pink flowers with a little tiny white diamond in the middle. It didn't hurt, it just felt like a hard pinch. But anyway, now I have my ears pierced and I'm glad I chose to do so!

bonus post for kids age 3mos. - 6

STORY
Once upon a time, there was a giraffe named Geraldine. Geraldine had a lot of big brown spots, and one very tiny one, her lucky spot. Geraldine was short for a giraffe, nobody knew why, she just was.
One summer Geraldine decided that she wanted to go on vacation. But, she didn't know where to go. She looked at last years summer travel report for advice.
After searching frantically for hours, Geraldine found out that Salt Lake City, Utah was a wonderful place!
But there was another problem. Geraldine lived in Mississippi! Luckily Geraldine had enough money for a plane ticket, so she rode on an airplane to Salt Lake City and had a wonderful time!

Ode To Lil' Pinky

Ode to Lil’ Pinky
O Pinky, O Pinky, O Pinky-o,
Is there a certain way that you must grow?
Up in the sky, or down in the ditch,
There must be a place to fit your wish.
How about an airplane or a desert so dry?
Of course there’s a place that you will try.
Is there a way I can make you happy?
Like some cool clear water or a bird named Snappy?
What is it you say? A simple thing?
You make me feel like a bird with wings!
Read books, play music, a sunny room,
Lots of water, never put you in a tomb.
Be kind to you, and never punish,
And never turn any of the other plants blackish.
That is all you want? You want no more?
Oh, I can throw myself on the shore!
O Pinky, O Pinky, O Pinky-O,
Now I have found the way that you must grow!
O Pinky, O Pinky, O Pinky-o,
Is there a certain way that you must grow?
Up in the sky, or down in the ditch,
There must be a place to fit your wish.
How about an airplane or a desert so dry?

My Shell
For Dad's birthday, I was supposed to write a seashell poem. Here it is.
As I gaze at my interesting shell,
First it is a piece of toast, waiting to be eaten.
Next it is a burrow for a nice family of fluffy rabbits.
Then it is a bird, flying gracefully through the sky.
And now it is an automobile, speeding swiftly through the streets.
Last it is a little girl named Sarah, running home.
And now Iam admiriring my beautiful seashell.
