Our Awesome Cats

When we moved, we inherited lots of cats! I am in heaven with all these adorable kitties! Here they are from the order we got them or in the order that they became friendly- some of them are still unfriendly and some that I will show pictures of have died :(  but here they are!

This is my beautiful Honey Butter. He has been a part of our family for five years. He is currently seven years old. I love him so much! Here are a few more pictures of him.

Honey loves to lounge on our porch. He is always lounging somewhere!

When we lived in Colorado, Honey had to live in the garage for awhile. This was his favorite sleeping place.

Smoky, my baby, is next. He has been a part of our family for about a year and a half. We got him as a kitten- starving and alone. He is now very big and just a cuddly teddy bear. All you have to do is go outside and sit down and he is in your lap- purring. Here are a few more pictures.

I love this picture!

Coal chased him up a tree, and he was so cute, I just had to take pictures!

This is Acorn- one of the momma cats. It was difficult to get a good picture of her, so this next one is not the best, but she is actually a really pretty cat.

See what I mean?

This is King, one of Acorn's kittens. King has recently disappeared, so we assume that she's dead. It was funny, because we named her King, thinking that she was a boy, but she's a girl, and the name stuck!

This is Snowball, another one of our momma cats. It was also difficult to get a  good picture of her. She loves to rub up against the door on our patio.

This is Bandit- our tom cat. He is as big as Smoky and weighs a lot! And yes- he does have a moustache.

This is Sofi-sosa, another momma cat. She loves to rub up against everything, which sometimes gets her a paw-swipe to the face! Fun fact-- all Siamese cats have blue eyes.

This is Beautiful. She died a few months ago. She got hit by a car. poor thing. She was so sweet- you could hold her and she would just purr and purr. Here are a couple more pictures.

Beautiful and King, two cats that are no longer with us :(

This is Fireblaze- one of our toms. We haven't seen him for a while, and we don't know what happened to him. Here is another picture of him.

He's a pretty cat, isn't he?

This is Fox, our most aggressive tom cat. We rarely see him, and this is the best picture I could get!

This is Sammi-sosa, another Siamese cat. She is beautiful, isn't she? She isn't friendly yet, but probably will be soon!

This is Alpha, a tom cat and one of Acorn's kittens. He isn't friendly yet, but will eventually be so.

This is the best picture I could get of Apricot, another of our unfriendly cats. She is quickly warming up to me, though.

So that's our cats! You should come and see them sometime!

And of course I can't forget about Coal, our sweet sweet puppy!

All the first years got pacifier necklaces. Sister Norton got one because it was her first year being ward camp director.

I wore nerdy pigtails on the second day of camp-same day as the group pictures!

The second years in our ward got to retire the colors on the fourth day of camp. from left to right: Julia M., Lizzie P., and Ellie H.

Sister Boyer invented the ultimate fanny pack! Size 46 DDD! One size fits all!

All in all, Girl's Camp was SUPER fun! can't wait to see how they do it in Scottsbluff next year!

Hooray!

We just got a puppy! It is a little boy black lab/shepherd mix. His name is Coal. He is about eight weeks old-just old enough to adopt. He came out of a litter of eight puppies! When we adopted him today, there was only three puppies left-him and two of his sisters. He is very friendly and yips sadly if you leave him alone too long. I can already tell that he is going to be tough to train-but I love him anyway.

When we first brought him home, he sniffed around the yard for a bit. Almost everything in our yard is just right for his toy! He likes leaves, apples, tree bark, grass, and much more!

Coal loves it when you give him belly-rubs! He also likes to nibble on your fingers. Sarah is a little scared of Coal because she is afraid that he will bite her, but she is quickly warming up to him.

Coal loves to be scratched under his chin. He had a tick in his right ear-poor puppy-but dad got it out.
I love his little "goatee"!

Coal loves to just sit by your feet and cuddle. It was so cute because he cuddled with K.J. on the way home!

Coal loves to play and lick! Hope loves that!

I love Coal so much! He is so cute and loving! I hope that he will be just perfect for our family!

Guess What?!!!!!!?

Just to let everybody know, I finished Personal Progress two Sundays ago! To celebrate, we went to the Downtown Denver Aquarium. The Aquarium is an amazing place! I have always been facinated with underwater life, and loved every minute of the Aquarium! Here are pictures to tell you what we saw and did. Enjoy this very LONG post!

Here we are in front of a tank or desert fish. (You can't see the fish, but I'll just tell you what kind of fish were in the tank!)
Here are some of the desert fish that were in the tank!
They also had diamondback rattlesnakes in the desert area!
A softshell turtle. I love their long noses.
Any guesses to the name of these fish??
These are long-nosed ------somethings! I want to say eels, but that's not right! Anyway, look at all of the fish in the background!
A ray. Following are a bunch of pictures of rays (my newest fascination).
Cool, huh? I think that rays are so cool. I want to learn more about them.
This is a lobster. It was the prettiest lobster that I have ever seen!
A seahorse. There are also, some strange fish in the bottom left corner. See if you can spot them!
Look at these fish! I think that they look so funny just sitting there. I think that they look bored.
These are pot-bellied seahorses. See if you can spot the male! I'll give you a clue, male seahorses carry the babies!
Coral is so pretty, isn't it?
This fish is pretty cool-looking, isn't it? He reminds me of the first airplanes made by the Wright brothers.
I think that this starfish is pretty cool- it's so skinny!
I absolutely LOVE this octopus starfish! It's so cool!
This is cool, I've always wondered what the underside of a starfish looked like!
An albino stingray- my favorite thing at the Aquarium! It's just so AWESOME!
A rock fish, they blend in with the coral and water plants, and the smaller fish they eat swim right into their mouths! I think that these fish are really cool!
This fish had his attention totally focused on me. I thought that it was so cute, I just had to take a picture!
Sea urchins- they are so beautiful and so cool!
Sea urchins, starfish and fish! Beautiful, isn't it? I love it!
The Aquarium had little air bubbles like this underneath the tanks where you could go underneath and see all the beautiful fish and coral from below!
I think that this fish is just so BEAUTIFUL!
Some beautiful rainforest Ciclids. K.J. had some of them in his Aquarium once.
Piranhas. I wanted to get a look at their teeth, but they all kept their mouths tightly clenched.
Another Piranha.
A fish with missing scales??????
Look at all of these beautiful rainforest fish!
Upside-down jellyfish. Their mouths are on their tops, so they are often found on the bottom.
I love these invisible jellyfish!
This is a cool jellyfish- they glow in the dark!
Pretty, pretty.
A lionfish. Very cool, but one touch from their highly poisonous spines can stun a horse.
A puffer fish. I actually got to see it inflate! Sadly, this is the best picture that I got of it.
Sharks! They fascinate me! I love learning about sharks and what they do! This is a great white, but my favorite shark is the Tiger shark. The Tiger shark is the most dangerous, but it is also one of the friendliest.
They also had a tiger at the Aquarium! I love tigers. They are my favorite cats. They are so beautiful and mysterious. I have no idea why they had a tiger at the Aquarium, but it was really cool to see it!
There were also sea turtles at the Aquarium. They were cool.
The Aquarium was just a really cool place to visit! I loved every minute of it! I wish that I could share all of my pictures- especially my really cute video of an otter! Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed all the pictures and information. All in all, it was definately one of the best days in my life!
