Kittens!

On Tuesday, the 25th of March, I went out to our barn to feed Little Buck, and found this!

Sofi-sosa had three kittens!

This is Duskkit. Long story behind his name. When he turns six months old, his name will change to Duskpaw. When he is full grown, he will get a warrior name (Duskfire, Duskfur, etc). I don't know exactly what it is going to be yet. Anyway, Duskkit is a tom kit. Now I finally have my own cat!

This is Sunshine, KJs kitten. Sunshine is a female kitten.

This is Sarah's kitten. This tom kit looks just like Smoky, so can you guess what his name is? Yep, Smoky! All of Sofi's kittens are so cute! Bandit is their father.

These are the brothers!

Then, yesterday, Dad went out to our barn and found this! Acorn had kittens, too! She had five kittens. Bandit is their father, as well.

This is Tiger, KJs kitten. We are not sure whether Tiger is a girl or a boy. Sofi's kittens were a week overdue, and there were only three of them, so they were large when they were born.

This is Sarah's kitten. We know that this one is a tom. She named him Striped paw.

This is Hope's kitten. She name this little girl kitten Fuzzy.

This is Hope's other kitten. We are not sure whether it is a boy or a girl. She named this kitten Cloud.

This is Hurricane, my kitten. Not sure whether Hurricane is male or female.

Sofi's kittens, now a week and a half old (as of yesterday), have their eyes open! This is Duskkit (I am not choking him, he has his paws on my hand).

This is Smoky. Isn't he cute?

Here is Sunshine.  She has long fur.

And here are the mothers with their kittens! We have lots of Spring babies this years! Now we are back to twelve cats (We recently lost a bunch. We only had Acorn, Sofi-sosa, Sammi-sosa, and Honey before the kittens came). I am loving all the cats!

Chicks!

We got chicks today! I am so excited! We have eight chicks. We hope they are all female!:) Here are pictures of the chicks and their names.
Here they all are!
This is their home. They live in a tote in our family room. They have to stay under a light for four weeks before going outside.
This is Flower, my chick. She is really cute, isn't she? I love her!
This is Flower on my shoulder.
This is Lucky. She is Hope's chick. She is our biggest chick. Out of our chicks, I think that she's the most likely to be a rooster.
This is Chicken Little. She is Mom's chick. She's really cute, isn't she?
This is Rooster. We named her Rooster in hopes that she would not be a rooster!
Chicken Nugget is Dad's chick.

this is Caiiou, KJ's chick.
this is Chicky. She is Sarah's chick. So cute!
This is Flappy Bird (yes, named after the video game. You pick her up, and she flaps!) She is a family chicken.Well, that's it!

My Birthday Cake

For my birthday, I was going to have a marble cake (chocolate and vanilla swirled), but it didn't happen. A mug fell down from our open cupboard and shattered it! Ha ha ha!

Our Awesome Cats

When we moved, we inherited lots of cats! I am in heaven with all these adorable kitties! Here they are from the order we got them or in the order that they became friendly- some of them are still unfriendly and some that I will show pictures of have died :(  but here they are!

This is my beautiful Honey Butter. He has been a part of our family for five years. He is currently seven years old. I love him so much! Here are a few more pictures of him.

Honey loves to lounge on our porch. He is always lounging somewhere!

When we lived in Colorado, Honey had to live in the garage for awhile. This was his favorite sleeping place.

Smoky, my baby, is next. He has been a part of our family for about a year and a half. We got him as a kitten- starving and alone. He is now very big and just a cuddly teddy bear. All you have to do is go outside and sit down and he is in your lap- purring. Here are a few more pictures.

I love this picture!

Coal chased him up a tree, and he was so cute, I just had to take pictures!

This is Acorn- one of the momma cats. It was difficult to get a good picture of her, so this next one is not the best, but she is actually a really pretty cat.

See what I mean?

This is King, one of Acorn's kittens. King has recently disappeared, so we assume that she's dead. It was funny, because we named her King, thinking that she was a boy, but she's a girl, and the name stuck!

This is Snowball, another one of our momma cats. It was also difficult to get a  good picture of her. She loves to rub up against the door on our patio.

This is Bandit- our tom cat. He is as big as Smoky and weighs a lot! And yes- he does have a moustache.

This is Sofi-sosa, another momma cat. She loves to rub up against everything, which sometimes gets her a paw-swipe to the face! Fun fact-- all Siamese cats have blue eyes.

This is Beautiful. She died a few months ago. She got hit by a car. poor thing. She was so sweet- you could hold her and she would just purr and purr. Here are a couple more pictures.

Beautiful and King, two cats that are no longer with us :(

This is Fireblaze- one of our toms. We haven't seen him for a while, and we don't know what happened to him. Here is another picture of him.

He's a pretty cat, isn't he?

This is Fox, our most aggressive tom cat. We rarely see him, and this is the best picture I could get!

This is Sammi-sosa, another Siamese cat. She is beautiful, isn't she? She isn't friendly yet, but probably will be soon!

This is Alpha, a tom cat and one of Acorn's kittens. He isn't friendly yet, but will eventually be so.

This is the best picture I could get of Apricot, another of our unfriendly cats. She is quickly warming up to me, though.

So that's our cats! You should come and see them sometime!

And of course I can't forget about Coal, our sweet sweet puppy!
